The Tracker follows the mirrored
target over features, updating the position at a rate of 1,000 times per second. The
target speed, regardless of resolution, is 6 meters per second (20 feet per second). The
abundance of data collected yields good statistical redundancy, permitting excellent
accuracy and repeatability.
Laser Tracker's surpass all portable CMM technologies in speed of overall performance. They can do this because of the data collection rate, as well as the CAD based feature presentation, reporting and analysis capabilities. This makes it possible to do "real-time" adjustments, alignments, all standard GD&T functions, as well as analysis, all with one piece of equipment, and generally just one technician. The "stand alone" characteristics of the Tracker mean that it saves a tremendous amounts of time when compared to the multiple departments and multiple staff members that were historically needed to accomplish the same tasks. This cuts program costs, minimizes mis-communication,and risk of cumulative errors. Quick Calibration
