Requirements
There are some parameters that are
conducive to having the Tracker be the most efficient tool for the job. The limitations
are few, but necessary to make the best use of personnel and equipment.
The environment needs to stable enough to achieve the required accuracy for the job.
The Tracker requires only a stable 110
v.a.c. power source to operate the Tracker and it's corresponding P.C. The environment
should be conducive to solid state electronics and operating personnel. (i.e. relatively
clean and low condensation moisture.)
Line-of-site from the Tracker to the item
being measured. The Tracker can be accurately positioned at multiple places in the
measurement envelope, as long as there exists a line-of-site to strategically placed
benchmarks in a previous position.
The standard mounting stand for the Tracker
takes a 3' square area, with a minimum height of 72". The Tracker head can be mounted
in an area of about 28" cubed, with custom tooling. The P.C. can be linked remotely
by cable to the Tracker Control Unit, and in turn the control unit is cable linked to the
Tracker head via 15' custom cables.
Special needs or situations can usually be
accommodated with pre-planning and special tooling. Just let us know what you need, and
our staff can custom fit the equipment to your needs.
Knowing the specifics what type of
information you need and how you would like it presented, will help our staff more
accurately bid and prepare to accomplish the task at hand. It also speeds the data
collection to have a pre-set list of the required data.
